This was such a good episode! Just the whole race, the aspirations that they've shown is so good! Also, Imaizumi and Onoda are much more similar than they would expect to each other. Also, hearing practical knowledge about cycling just makes it more interesting. That's the best part with sports animes. It's not just the main characters, but it's also the supporting characters who let the viewers know what is going on that makes the anime much more interesting to watch because you actually do learn something new, and because of that, you learn to appreciate more elements in the anime itself, and when it's done right, it really can heighten the watching of the anime itself. This is such a good episode. Because it also lays out the physicality of Onoda, which explains why he can do the things he does.
I really enjoyed how this episode focused on small changes that made a huge difference. It's not just about physical strength, but also learning and improving little by little. Onoda continues to be incredibly lovable, and seeing his determination never gets old. The emotional side of the story also landed nicely without feeling forced. Such a wholesome episode...
The match was so tight and intense. I'm amazed by Sakamichi at this point. Miki is knowledgeable about bicycles. I get why she wants to be the manager. I hate Shunsuke's overconfidence just because of his opponent's bicycle. The ending was fun to watch, he's being himself again.
