I loved this episode so much. We got to see more of Toudou and Makishima's history together. We also got to see a promise between the two of them. I also loved that we got a look into what happened to Onoda and his resolve to continue!

Seeing the mountain stage begin completely changes the atmosphere. The challenge feels heavier, and the riders have to rely on more than just physical strength. I really enjoy how the anime gives each cyclist their own identity and style. It makes every encounter feel exciting instead of predictable.

This is getting increasingly difficult for them. Now that the old rivals are at the front of the competition. The backstory is shown in this episode. I like Makishima's trust in this episode. The ending is the start of the hype.
