This is so nostalgic. I watched this years ago and now rewatching it again is just such a wake-up call to my memories! This is a really good first episode because you already see a really nice introduction to some of our main players in the anime. You also get to see our main character's personality and quirks. It's laid out really clearly in the first episode. Also, hime hime!
I wasn't expecting a cycling anime to hook me this quickly. Onoda is such an adorable and relatable main character, especially with how openly he loves anime. His enthusiasm feels so genuine that it's hard not to smile. The contrast between his everyday bike and everyone else's reactions made the episode surprisingly fun. A really charming start that made me curious about what's next!!
The first scene got me. It is funny already. I personally like how they showed a glimpse of some characters, they first created a mystery before introducing them later on. Onoda Sakamichi got my interest. He did that with that bike? Even Miki at Aya was surprised. The ending cliffhanger is a great way to create hype and excitement. This anime piqued my interest.
