I'll confess, this episode made me cry buckets. It's incredibly romantic. A lovely young woman has to portray an ancient warrior, so she goes to YaShe in search of an antique to inspire her. There, she receives a mirror that, at certain times, connects her to the past and allows her to meet someone very special. The starkness of the predetermined ending is a constant presence throughout the episode, but the way they both confront that fate is still heartbreaking. My only complaint is that the poorly executed 3D and the low-frame action animations break the immersion in the episode's most dramatic scene. It's a complex scene, but precisely because it's the climax, it would have been better to avoid including so many elements if they were going to ultimately fall apart.

What a beautiful story. The love that was represented here was fantastic and I respect Jin Kang's stedfast beliefs. I'm excited for the next episode!

Interesting episode. The previous one can give you something you lost, this one is quite different. If I were Yao, I would be freaked out. Is it called destiny? Maybe.
