At the beginning of this episode, Princess Hinoto speaks in her sleep with Kakyou, who at one point makes a rather suspicious comment about Hinoto's true desires. Kamui awakens from his catatonic state and finally accepts his role as the Dragon of Heaven, welcoming the other dragons who have been with him all this time. Kamui's demeanor is very different from that of the earlier chapters, resembling his childhood self, which highlights the profound change that past events have wrought upon him. One fascinating aspect of X is its seamless blend of esoteric magic and technology, as seen in the location where Kamui must seal the Divine Sword. With the seven dragons from both sides now gathered, the true war begins.
