We begin this episode with the aftermath of the previous battle. Kamui is broken inside, and Fuuma is now completely immersed in his antagonistic role. It's quite tragic to see this Fuuma and compare him to the sweet young man he was before the last episode. It's also unsettling that he seems much more prepared to take control of his new role, and it comes across so naturally that he truly feels like a huge threat. Subaru sees himself reflected in Kamui and decides to make a risky move, using his powers to enter Kamui's tormented heart and pull him out. Certainly, both the music and visuals do a good job of projecting the danger of entering the mind of a tormented person.
