This episode just really showed how I'm seriously not a fan of Arianne but that definitely means the character is written well.
This episode leans heavily into world-building and character dynamics, establishing the darker political chess match taking place behind the scenes. It’s extremely satisfying to see Lua test out her unique ability.
Surely the narrative structure essentially follows a typical trajectory, yet it manages to remain remarkably interesting and engaging despite its cliched lore. However, it would have been even better and far more entertaining if the animation weren't so stiff and slow moving, though the visual art itself is quite nice. And to be honest, the animation is mediocre, butthe storyline is quietly riveting.
