The pace slows down a little. It gave everyone time to breathe after all the chaos. The episode has a nice emotional atmosphere

Episode Context

Arriving at episode 5 of Season 2, 'The Day of Departure' follows the upheaval introduced in the preceding episode, 'And the Story Begins,' which reset the playing field with new challenges and shifting dynamics at the magical academy. This episode functions as an emotional bridge, processing what came before while quietly positioning Will and his peers for the next escalation. It sets up future episodes by grounding the characters' motivations in the personal stakes raised here.
