The vibes are intense with the start of a tournament arc that shows off Bofurin’s honorable members clashing HARD against the chaotic Lion Heads. The battles between fair vs. dirty and strong vs. weak are all delivered with fluid animation and a banger OST. A must-watch for sure!

This is definitely a highlight episode. Sakura is right, you can tell someone is strong just by looking at them. The word he's looking for is 'Aura' and that fits Suo perfectly. That's how you teach kids a lesson, in style! Sugishita's entry was good too, in his own way.

The conflict fully explodes here with intense back-and-forth action and emotional weight behind every punch. The rival dynamic feels personal, not just territorial. Sakura’s growth shows in subtle ways, proving this is about pride, loyalty, and protecting more than ego.

The intro fights go by so quickly that Sugishita & Suo are able to finish their brawls within the same episode. The real star of the show here is Suo, who presents a good example of Wind Breaker's unique way of showing character personality through their fighting styles.

Episode 5 gives us the face behind the chaos. Tomiyama isn’t just loud, he’s dangerous. The tension between leaders feels personal. This is where the arc starts feeling serious. Sakura watching all this like he just bought front row tickets to violence.

A revelation of fighting styles of Sakura’s gang. These fights did not disappoint me. Top tier animation stays the same, no comment about that. A great opener fight episode for the upcoming fights. Go Bofurin! Fighting.

This episode was tense as it was the start of the real fight. The pacing into the fight scene was steady and really gave us background of the other school. It really showed the conviction and ideals of each character. Each fight scene showed how each character fights own way.

Seeing the integrity of the characters through a fistfight was peak. The punch was so smooth, like you can really feel the impact of every hit. It's not just mindless punching. There's a story in the movements.

Suo was great in this episode definitely a top tier animation. Insane animation in the fight scenes you can really tell what style it was inspired from (mostly aikido). I really like the revenge niche in this episode really telling the enemies what's up.

I was actually surprised by the fight scenes compared to other anime. From start to finish, this episode is super intense, and the way they animate the fights is really satisfying

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly from Episode 4's clash, this is the point where the Bofurin-Shishitoren rivalry moves from posturing into structured combat, marking a critical escalation at the season's midpoint. The individual matchups showcased here deepen the roster beyond the protagonist and establish stakes that carry forward. Episode 6, 'Vow to Follow,' builds on the outcomes and character revelations seeded here, continuing the arc's exploration of loyalty and resolve.
