Umemiya is the GOAT! This episode does an impressive job presenting both his charisma in chill moments and his ability to flip a switch when things get serious. This guy isn’t an aura farming poser. He’s a real leader who is genuinely cool and inspiring!

The story begins to heat up as the clash between the two schools finally begins.

The stage is finally set to have a one on one fight between Bofurin and Shishitoren! The fun Umemiya can get serious too, especially when it comes to Kotoha. Sakura dodged a bullet there with that remark. He better watch what he says next time.

The tension rises as rival pressure starts feeling real instead of random. The fights carry heavier impact, and emotions simmer beneath the punches. You can sense bigger conflict brewing, while Sakura’s pride begins clashing with responsibility.

Shishitoren continues to prove they're a threat to be taken seriously. But that also means the same thing happens for Bofurin's Umemiya. The ep sets up an interesting premise for the next fights, and even offers a peek at the existing beef between the two schools.

Episode 4 turns the heat up. Shishitoren enters, and they are not here to play nice. The energy shifts fast. You can feel that this isn’t just about pride anymore. Sakura looks excited though… like bro finally found real competition 😭🔥

I was shocked by the girl’s age the same as Sakura. And finally we would get an action packed on the next episode. It feels like forever waiting for a good fight. The pacing did slowed down a bit. The Tournament arc Letssss goooooo.

The quality of the anime is consistent and I really don't see any drop of quality. I can say the animators really loved animating this. The pacing is steady and does not feel rushed. I love the night and day personality changes.

The vibe shifted real fast once Shishitoren showed up. That nighttime confrontation had some amazing high-contrast lighting that made the whole scene feel super gritty and high stakes. The tension was real!

Umemiya is the mvp of this episode, his leadership is on top even as the strongest (insert gojo reference) fighter. Can't wait to see him on action. Overall a good episode preparing for a build up. Animation was an 8/10 you can really feel the intensity at this episode.

With its dynamic action and warm sense of brotherhood, Wind Breaker reminds us that true strength isn’t about standing alone

Honestly, this episode is super intense because another school gang challenges Bofurin to a fight, and the way Bofurin’s leader, Umemiya, handles the intensity is amazing

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the end of the first third of a 13-episode season, Episode 4 directly escalates from the protective intervention Sakura and Sugishita made in Episode 3, turning a localized skirmish into a full-blown factional clash with Shishitoren's leadership. This is the episode where Wind Breaker transitions from character introductions and world-building into its first major conflict arc. It establishes the stakes and rivalries that will drive the middle stretch of the season forward.
