sakura's apartment reveal hit different. the way nirei and suo found him sick and immediately stepped up? the contrast between his empty apartment and their warmth? the scene where he finally broke down about being scared of being abandoned? that was raw. 🏠

Tsubakino taking Sakura and the crew to the rooftop for a heart-to-heart was the emotional peak of the season. Seeing Sakura struggle to process being "needed" and "liked" by others is both painful and wholesome

This episode felt so meaningful. I really love Tasuku Tsubakino’s backstory and how he managed to fight against the hardships he's experienced. It’s heartbreaking to think that there are people out there who have experienced similar struggles.

Episode Context

Arriving at the halfway mark of Season 2, 'Hidden Feelings' serves as a deliberate breather following Sakura's confrontation with his responsibilities as grade captain in Episode 5's 'A Place I Belong.' With the central KEEL conflict temporarily on pause, this episode invests in Tsubakino's emotional backstory, building character depth that should pay dividends as the narrative ramps back up heading into Episode 7's 'Night Street,' where the main storyline is expected to resume with greater stakes and perspective.
