EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 3's fantasy-world challenges involving lost magic stones, this fourth episode pivots to the Japan side of the dual-world premise, giving Marie room to breathe and develop outside of adventure scenarios. At the one-third mark of the 12-episode season, it deepens the foundation of the characters' relationship and Marie's familiarity with modern life, groundwork that will likely matter as the series begins weaving both worlds together more tightly in the back half.
