I found the pacing & motion speed of this episode a bit sluggish, even though there's a slight touch of intensity from the building narrative. I’d still love it if the pacing weren't so slow, as that would keep the interest high & ensure the anticipation of the story never fades.

While I feel like the episode still plays an essential part to build up Kiriwo's part as well as to let us see how the faculty handles this strange series of events, it somehow takes away from all of the built up tension from prior episodes. At the very least, it does lead back to the main part of the coming crisis by the end of it. Overall, a good watch nonetheless and shows the creativity of many of the prominent characters in the academy.

This is where the Battler Party arc reaches its PEAK tension. If you skip this, you miss the ENTIRE build-up to the climax. Don't skip unless you wanna be completely lost when everything goes down in the next ep fr 🔥

This episode showcases the chaos as students panic and teachers scramble to keep everyone safe. Kalego steps in with a clever plan, turning it into a surprise game. The trio’s teamwork shines as they navigate Kiriwo’s maze, building tension toward an exciting climax.

Not a lot of things happened in this episode except that the main trio managed to find a way to counter Kiriwo's ability. I do like how the professors tried to make the situation become a game for the students so that they wouldn't get scared or nervous.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 17 of 23, this marks a clear pivot point where the season transitions from buildup into its climactic stretch. It follows directly from the preparations established in the previous episode and launches a crisis that will carry momentum into the next chapter, 'What I Want More Than Anything.' This is the narrative inflection point where earlier character development and world-building start paying off in service of higher stakes.
