Satsuki’s teasing and Naoto’s reactions to both Makina and Satsuki really highlight just how indecisive and overwhelmed he is. The episode solidifies that this show isn’t afraid to juggle humor, awkward romance, and character growth in the same breath

Wow, this episode was straight up a rom‑com carnival. Makina’s pushy and over‑the‑top attempts to get Naoto’s attention contrast hilariously with his polite rejections, and it still manages to keep everyone grounded LMAO

Such a vibe shift. We finally get Makina and she makes her intentions clear from the start. Her confidence flirting with Naoto adds a refreshing yet chaotic energy xD

Episode Context

Episode 8 shakes up the dynamic by pulling someone from Naoto Watari's past into the present. The arrival of Makina Umezawa, a junior from his middle school days, injects fresh energy and a different kind of tension into the series. Expect a shift in atmosphere as the episode leans into nostalgia and the awkwardness of reconnecting with someone from a previous chapter of your life. The pacing settles into a steady rhythm, giving space for character interactions that feel both lighthearted and charged with subtext. The comedy-drama balance the series is known for stays intact, but there's a noticeable undercurrent of unease as established relationships face a new variable. This is a setup episode, it introduces pieces that will clearly matter going forward, so pay attention to the small moments.
