Kabeya is among my favorite dancers in the manga, and the way this episode portrayed him is totally up my alley. It's also fun seeing Wanda and Kotani interact with other dancers, too.

Episode Context

Coming off the dance battle energy of Episode 8, this installment deepens Kabo's exposure to the competitive dance scene and introduces Kabe as a significant new force in the narrative. Sitting at the three-quarter mark of a 12-episode season, it's a clear escalation point, building the skills, relationships, and rivalries that funnel directly into Episode 10's 'Prelims,' where the stakes formalize into actual competition.
