ViVid Strike!

This was a warm and well paced episode. After the emotional peak of the last episode, this one chooses a quieter landing in which I appreciate. I like how they Rinne and Jill their reconciliation, lets Fuuka and Rinne rebuild their friendship, and closes the Winter Cup final as a forward looking event. It was also so touching seeing Jill apologize to Nove which shows her growth. This was a very satisfying finale. The music in the finals scenes also added to that warm, cozy tone of this episode. I am glad I watched this one.

I feel like this is the best episode of the entire season. The animation was gorgeous here, every blow has weight, every exchange tells a story, and the moment Rinne's uppercut surpasses the field's safety settings was astonishing. I love how both fighters dropped their bitterness and settled things with an all offensive fist fight. The soundtrack is also remarkable and memorable, it really fits the action and intensity of this episode.

Wow, the fight between Fuuka and Rinne was impressive. The fight felt like it's both a contest and a conversation. Fuuka's strategy of using different techniques was smart. I also applaud Rinne's determination to keep on fighting despite Jill wanting to stop. The rain also compliments well the emotions and atmosphere in this episode.

This was a very good episode that utilizes Rinne's loss as a motivation to push forward. The writing handles Rinne's isolation really well after the loss with Vivio. I am rooting for Rinne here, I hope she bounces back stronger and better than before.

The fight between Vivio and Rinne here was so good. The animation here makes the impacts feel real and has a lot of force and weight onto it. Vivio standing back up after taking damage made me like her character even more, that determination was satisfying. The barrage that ends the fight was also so fluid and well staged. I also like how they made the aftermath, each character was given their own time and space to handle the match.

Creo que esta pelea se hizo demasiaaado extensa, aunque era una batalla de voluntades... supongo que es su forma de contar su historia. ¡Estas dos son unas cabezas duras necias, jajaja!

I like how this episode takes it time to give Vivio and Einhart some backstory. This ep is genuinely interesting and expands the world of the show. The Vivio vs Rinne beginning at the end was too short, but the animation during the opening exchanges was clean and confident.

¡Wuuu! Más peleas. ¡Team Fuuka por aquí! Creo ciegamente en la magia de la protagonista y la amistad (?). No se ve tan 'mágica' esta vez la pelea, supongo que para darle seriedad.

¡Wao! Estas chicas sí que se toman en serio las peleas... Casi pareciera que están decidiendo su vida entera con cada combate... Fue un capítulo muy tranquilo, la verdad.

¡Diosss, qué buena pelea! Me encantó, todo sorpresas, jaja. Me gusta mucho la animación y efectos que utilizan en los combates. Me pregunto cómo le irá a las demás…

¡Waa! Algunas peleas son demasiado rápidas y otras quisieras que nunca terminen, jajaja. Todos los personajes tienen mucho potencial y esfuerzo puesto en lo que quieren ~ ¿Se darán las cosas como quieren?

¡¡¡OMG!!! ¡¡¡AHORA SÍ EMPEZARON LAS PELEAS!!! ¡¡¡DALEEE CON LA SILLA!!! Las transformaciones siguen siendo de mis cosas favoritas de este anime, definitivamente. Esta vez no hay historia profunda, solo lo necesario.

The tournament begins here and the show delivers a very good animated sequence. Miura vs Rinne was awesome! It was technically impressive, emotionally charged, and is genuinely unpredictable. The animation here was really good. The pacing across the episode is also very good, every scene has a clear purpose.

The backstory concludes well and the story cleanly pivots onto the tournament preparation. I like Jill Stolas character here, the writing frames her as a genuine turning point for Rinne. Fuuka receiving Huracan and beginning the sparring has such a consistent animation. The pacing is also tight here.

The emotional impact was very high on this one. Rinne's backstory was told with real care here, each detail about her lands harder than the last. The writing handles the tragedy without much melodrama, and lets the events speak for themselves. The animation uses stills and limited motion deliberately in the flashback scenes, which gives the flashbacks a different tone than the action scenes.

Rinne's fight against Carrie was very clean, the choreography was spot on and I can really feel the weight in each hit. The show does a good job using Rinne's dominance to show both her skill and the emotional damage behind it.

This was a well done training montage, it doesn't over stay and drag the pacing. It was also fun seeing the characters at different physical stages which keeps the montage from feeling repetitive. The animation here is consistent and the fights feel like that they have some weight to them.

This was a very good debut, this episode wastes no time and clearly explained Fuuka's situation. The fight in the opening was also very good, it set the tone well and I also like the animation that they did. The pacing also has some real momentum and the story is well structured.

Un capítulo para reflexionar sobre la historia de los personajes… Bastante, quizás demasiado tranquilo para mi gusto… Solo espero que al final esa mala gente tuviera lo que se merecía… PD: ¡Hura es muy lindooo!
