Delinquent flashback! Seeing Lum, Benten, and Oyuki as middle-school punks is awesome. The new trio (Ginger, Sugar, Pepper) trying to steal Benten's chain is a great setup, but the punchline that it's just her house key is pure comedy lol.

Hmm. Quite a chaotic episode, to say the least. The chain leading to the punchline is kinda funny ig 🤣 Mixed feelings about this episode overall, even if it’s my preferred format of a single-story ep rather than the split-segment format.

I expected this to be one of the more serious episodes, judging by the initial minutes, but I was quite wrong as the episode progressed. I liked the focus on the side characters that don't usually get much screen time, but I believe it could've been done better. They had to add three random characters just to make this episode make sense.

Episode Context

Arriving at episode 20 of 23, this installment pivots from the mystical and culinary antics of Episode 19 into a self-contained character showcase for Benten, one of Lum's closest allies. It's a late-season breather that enriches the supporting cast before the final stretch. Episode 21 will pivot again toward supernatural and educational territory, maintaining the series' episodic variety as it approaches its conclusion.
