Parent's Day! Seeing everyone's mothers is comedy gold, especially Mendo's mom pulling up in an ox carriage lol. Lum's mom speaking alien gibberish is hilarious. The second half actually shows Ataru missing Lum, proving this isn't totally devoid of romance. An absolute watch!

Such an awkward Parents’ Day in the first half lol 😅And the second half is surprisingly dramatic and emotional with chara development, though the comedy is still there~ The ending’s so feel-good and sweet 🥹

This episode does feel so similar to Love Ru, but I can't really decide which MC is worse. In my opinion, though, Urusei Yatsura is definitely the better anime, with the time dedicated to the side characters and their pretty entertaining antics. The fan service is also not nearly as much, and I can appreciate that quite a lot. Quite an unexpected episode; are we finally getting some character development with Ataru?!?
