Gen calling her a kokeshi doll during the rejection and then acting jealous two scenes later is the funniest self-own I have seen in a shojo anime. Raku telling him to never say that to her face was the only sane line in the whole house

Shu thanking her on the train for helping him feel okay in new places got me more than the whole romance thing. Kid just wanted to be seen and she did that for him without realizing it

I felt so bad for Ito in the gondola. She listed every annoying thing about him and still couldn't stop her eyes from tearing up on the way out. That water bottle handoff got me

Every single scene with those two had me invested and then it just left me sitting there upset

you can't just end it with them stuck at the top of the ferris wheel and expect me to be normal about it. the wind gust stop and the way she just grabs onto him. I need the next episode right now

that cabbage petal scene is going to live in my head forever. plucking leaves at midnight to decide whether to confess is such a specific kind of unhinged and I respect it so much

the teacher subplot is making me genuinely uncomfortable. the age gap and the power dynamic are not the same stakes as Ito and Gen at all. the phone call where he grabs it and calls himself her boyfriend left a bad taste

Raku lying to Gen about the store trip while his head was still on that bridge woman is such a small beat but it sold me on his whole subplot. Dude came back different and Gen clocked it instantly

Rui eating the chocolates in a half asleep haze destroyed everything Ito built and the look Gen and Raku give each other afterward is the funniest part of the whole episode

that teacher reveal got me good. she sits down at the podium all composed and Raku is just frozen in his seat. the age gap thing is a lot though not sure the show needed a second taboo plot stacked on the first one
