So many feelings from one episode, the first sequence with Kimi showcased how much ghouls and humans are alike in mindset, and ++ i kinda knew Touka wouldn't be able to go through with it anyways. The latter sequence was horrible man, ripped my guts out from my spine

I personally really like Nishio and his character!! I'm pretty biased because of how much of a tsundere he can be. Him joining anteiku already adds to the story and MC"s main support group as a ghoul.

The intercutting scenes with Hinami's parents was cruel.. It went into showing humans being less empathetic than the 'monstrous' ghouls that are portrayed as feared in media. This was a good contrast to the Gourmet and his episode prior.

S1 EP6. Great This is why I don't like the idea of having kids. I know Hinami is longing for her dad. But If she listen, she could still have a mother. Also, I hate the idea of ghoul who are not killing humans are the one that have been killed by Doves.

Total cliffhanger episode! The kagune animation in the Touka v/s Tsukiyama fight is stunning ⚡. Loved the banter between Hide and Nishiki.Seeing Hinami’s parent's tragedy hit hard and the pacing is getting darker. The CCG officials, Doves are
here and Mado is absolutely terrifying.

Ghoul red eyes popping on? Visuals went crazy. Animation on the color shift and veins crisp af. Atmosphere terrifying but hype. Every reveal gave me goosebumps, peak transformation energy.

This one hits emotionally. You can really feel that he doesn’t fit anywhere. It’s lonely. The identity crisis is louder than any fight scene. That isolation feeling stays heavy the whole episode 🥲

A LOT OF ACTION!!
We get a lot from both the ghoul and human side. Seeing Nishiki's bond with Kimi really puts into perspective just how thin the line is between humans and ghouls. Also, Nishiki joining the cast seems great!
Stressed about the suits though...

The heat is rising and the rain is starting to fall. The feds are closing in on a young girl, and our boy is caught in the crossfire. He’s trying to keep his hands clean, but the streets are demanding he pick a side before everything washes away.

I found it impressive how, despite his past with Kaneki, Nishiki shows real devotion in saving Kimi. Touka’s kagune looked amazing, and I really enjoyed seeing Nishiki’s development. I also felt the tension build as the episode focused on the CCG’s investigation.

Tsukiyama fight wrapped up nice. The biting thing to merge their blood was... interesting choice lol. Nishiki and Kimi's relationship is actually wholesome somehow? Ending was satisfying. Animation stayed solid throughout the whole fight sequence.

a short flashback completely reframes a character we've been watching for six episodes and it doesn't feel cheap or rushed for even a second. i went from mildly annoyed to fully in her corner without the show manipulating me once. the rain aesthetic throughout is doing real work

Emotional damage! The stakes feel so personal now. Seeing the CCG’s ruthless efficiency against "humane" ghouls makes the morality so gray it’s almost black. The tension between Hinami’s innocence and the surrounding violence is heartbreaking. Another must watch episode! ToT

Storylines are coming along, pacing is nicely done, and the ending really leaves you wanting more.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 6 marks the season's midpoint, arriving after the resolution of the Tsukiyama confrontation and using that breathing room to refocus on the personal stakes driving the cast. This is a transitional episode that deepens character bonds and internal conflicts, laying critical emotional groundwork for the escalating ghoul-versus-investigator tensions that will dominate the back half of the twelve-episode run.
