There was so much action in this episode it felt jarring compared to the previous ones. The new group and antagonists are immediately intimidating, their lack of motives and insane nature (and design, acl) make them feel so unpredictable!

The pacing was crazy, everything happens all at once in this episode which not that much build-up, so it felt really sudden & underdeveloped despite the big antagonist guy and Ayato already being shown early on.

I thought I would dislike Banjou at first, since I don't really like hot-headed antagonists, but his personality was amazing and he was so funny. Every time he opened his mouth I liked him more

S1EP10. This ep is amazinggg, I love it a lot. The adrenaline rush is over the top. I love the idea that from the start Hide already know what;s about to happen to his bestfriend. I am intrigged on the abilities of Yomo-san and the Antieku owner. and I love the graphics of the ED

Aogiri Tree is no joke. The CCG is preparing. The scale just shifted from street-level to a full-blown war. Ayato breaks into Anteiku and starts taking up on poor Kaneki! 🙁. The sibling rivalry is intense and kidnapping Kaneki is a deadful thought! The power dynamics are officially broken now! 😱

Poor kid CANNOT catch a break.
Things really took a turn for the worse this episode, with Kaneki getting kidnapped. Jason showing up. Aogiri also being hassle. A lot happens this episode, pretty quiet on the suits side considering everything else.

Red tones and blood motifs everywhere? Moody af. Animation on the color grading intense and beautiful. Atmosphere grim but poetic. Made the world feel dangerous and kinda tragic, loved the aesthetic.

This episode feels darker. You can sense a shift in Kaneki’s mindset. It’s subtle, but something is changing. The emotional weight is getting heavier and I didn’t expect it to build this intensely.

The 11th Ward is a literal war zone. A massive beast named Jason shows up looking for our boy, and he isn't there for a chat. Anteiku has to decide: stay safe in the shadows or go "Full Gangster" on a suicide mission to get Kaneki back.

I’m on edge for this upcoming war as Anteiku gets attacked. Kaneki’s “connection” to Rize puts him in the spotlight, and a new group of ghouls appears. Everyone prepares and coordinates—the teamwork makes the stakes feel even higher.

Things get intense again. Family drama hits different. New enemy moves like a demon fr. The war is really starting now. Animation during fights was smooth.

the aogiri raid is choreographed chaos but it never loses clarity you always know where everyone is and what's at stake. the moment the masked figures breach the building and the regular ghouls start backing away you feel exactly how dangerous these people are without a single

The kidnapping felt so sudden and brutal. Seeing the sheer gap in power between the Anteiku crew and Aogiri's executives is terrifying. Poor Kaneki is once again a pawn in a game he doesn't understand. The stakes have never been higher. Must watch. 🥲

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 10 of 12, this is the critical pivot point where Tokyo Ghoul transitions from building its world to detonating it. The escalating investigator-ghoul tensions from 'Birdcage' reach a tipping point with Aogiri Tree's aggressive emergence, fundamentally reshaping the battlefield. Everything here is setup for the final two episodes — expect the consequences of this episode to drive the season's climax.
