EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode is such an emotional ride. The tribute to Ryoma and Uzumi's bond gave the whole Bakumatsu arc so much heart, and the final clashes felt incredibly earned and powerful.

As the plot progresses, the buildup sequence feels fairly typical when compared to the other eras featured in this series. Furthermore, the runtime feels even slower due to the frequent flashbacks. Although these scenes help to gradually establish the overflowing emotions of the episode, the momentum remains sluggish. Nevertheless, the underlying direction of the narrative is still remarkably well executed.

One of the best episodes, the prelude to the end of the third arc, features epic battles and a frenetic pace. These canonical events will undoubtedly add much more action to the series finale. It's canon within the story and quite entertaining to watch.
