The clash with the Jigen-ryu master is unbelievable. The raw power behind that first strike is terrifying, and seeing Izumi figure out a barehanded counter kept me on the seat edge.

Following the riveting stakes of the previous episodes, this one balances its momentum through delightfully lighthearted scenes and the steady buildup of intense plot tension. Beyond that, the developing trust and friendship between Izumi and Ryoma is exceptionally compelling. Additionally, the transitions into each high tension moment are remarkably gripping to watch.

A slow-paced episode with lots of dialogue, as Sakamoto remains a prime target for the Shogun and the Shinsengumi, and even has enemies within his own faction. We'll see how the plot of surviving with Izumi's help develops. It's canon within the story and a bit tedious to watch due to the lack of action and excessive dialogue.
