Yakumo playing bodyguard while sticking strictly to his barehanded style is so fun to watch. The dynamic between him and Shiori is already turning solid. This episode has decent pacing.
Interestingly, this episode advances the storyline with an exciting new direction, delivering an epic skirmish and delightful character development, particularly for Shiori. However, the pacing remains leisurely with dialogue heavy buildup. Even though the animation style feels a bit dated, it still manages to capture an impressive artistic transition that elevates the classic feel of the series.
The second episode is much more exciting than the first. We see an epic battle, and another that focuses more on intelligence. The main plot develops further, and we see a new challenge that Shiori must face. It's canon within the story and quite enjoyable with its retro 90s style. It has a good opening and ending.
