EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 1's establishment of Renako and Mai's unlikely connection, this second episode deepens the central dynamic by testing Renako's boundaries and forcing her to confront emotions she'd rather avoid. It's early-season groundwork — still building the foundation of their relationship before the complications that a 12-episode run will inevitably introduce.
