The highlight of this episode was getting a glimpse into the town’s history and beliefs, leaving me eager to learn more.

Watching Yoshiki continue to grapple with his complicated feelings toward the new Hikaru while trying to come to terms with the loss of his friend is heartbreaking. I can already tell I’ll be shedding some tears in the episodes to come!

Following Hikaru's and Yoshiki's visit to the summer festival, a lot is revealed about the town's past, what has been afflicting it recently, and possibilities as to why. It balances normality and fun with unsettling discussion and imagery, giving you the best emotional whiplash.

Attending the Summer Festival at Kubitachi Village is the most enjoyable experience, especially for Hikaru and Yoshiki. Our MC's backstory and the lore are even more building up and slowly completing the pieces of the puzzle on the mystery of the village.

The flashback in this episode feels like a punch to the gut; seeing the real Hikaru through memories makes the whole plot more unsettling. The emotional weight it adds, including situations like loss and grief, makes it more "human."

This episode is a bit slower-paced, but not boring. The flashbacks to Hikaru's incident in the mountains hit hard once again with beautiful visuals and music. I'm loving the character development with Tanaka as he seems smart, and I can't wait to see him interact with 'Hikaru'.

This episode is all about contrast. On the surface, everything feels normal, but Yoshiki clearly isn’t okay, and that tension bleeds into every interaction. It’s subtle, but it makes the whole episode feel heavier than it looks.

Definitely watch episode 4, the character dynamics are really sweet, especially between the siblings. The tone is super lighthearted and fun, capturing the feeling of a summer festival. I loved the pacing, it's a great episode to unwind with.
