Ashiya was always such a selfless character, but selflessness can sometimes cost something. The episode's plot started out emotional and near the end, it seems to have taken a bit of a heavy turn which leads me to worry about Ashiya's ability to see yokai.
This might be one of the most quietly beautiful episodes in the season. There isn't some huge dramatic twist, just a simple wish handled with so much care that it genuinely sticks with you. Ashiya's willingness to help without expecting anything back is exactly why he's such a lovable protagonist. The emotional payoff feels gentle rather than forced, and that softness is what made it hit for me.
Seeing them get funnier and more solid day by day is the best part. But it’s so frustrating when u can feel their emotion through the screen. That selfless choice completely changes the stakes and builds the tension slowly.
