Quite a touching episode but it still maintains that balance between heartfelt moments and comedic moments. I can appreciate the lesson that was shown in this episode when it comes to letting go of the past and being able to move forward.
This episode is peak Morose Mononokean energy. It starts with a goofy excuse that had me laughing, then slowly turns into another surprisingly heartfelt yokai story. The series is so good at making even the weirdest creatures feel worth understanding instead of fearing. Yahiko continues to be an absolute gremlin and every scene with him is just pure fun.
This episode gave me major classic GeGeGe no Kitaro vibes. Maintaining their usual goofy bickering, this consistent quality needs to be appreciated more. The visuals are stunning as always
