Wow, Kaoru sure did grow up rich... Also, it's so heartwarming that Yukichi, a black cat, is seen as a bringer of good luck and fortune when black cats are usually considered bad luck (at least in my place). Saku really hit the jackpot with a dependable cat like Yukichi.

Such a funny and cute episode! Yukichi is always putting Saku in awkward and funny situations and the best part is that he is usually unbothered. Saku is always worrying about Yukichi that she sometimes forgets to enjoy herself, poor Saku. I love Yume so much !!

When I think about how cats are usually portrayed, I actually find that I can relate to Yukichi quite a bit, haha. The plot is well balanced and makes for a soothing narrative journey. It’s quite therapeutic to watch, perfect for unwinding after a hard day!

Episode Context

Episode 5 takes Saku and her oversized, impossibly capable cat Yukichi out of their comfort zone and into a social setting, a costume-themed birthday party. This is pure slice-of-life comedy territory, leaning into the absurdity of a giant domestic cat navigating human social gatherings while Saku deals with the awkwardness of actually interacting with people outside her apartment. The pacing is deliberately relaxed, prioritizing character moments and visual gags over any kind of narrative urgency. Expect warm, low-stakes humor built around the contrast between Yukichi's composed competence and the inherently ridiculous premise. New faces show up to bounce off the central duo, and the episode uses the party setting to gently expand Saku's world beyond her cozy routine. GoHands keeps the aesthetic playful throughout.
