THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS 2nd SEASON

Sometimes you just have to sit and listen to Anzu's lifechanging lines. Our main problem of stripping away someone's personal identity continues during this episode. While Mika couldn't express it due to the executives, Rika couldn't express it due to the outfits, thankfully both reached an answer that let them go back to normal.

Man, reforms are really hard to deal with. The episode pretty much deals with a sort of issue of identity. What happens to an idol if you remove what makes them special? That's pretty much what Usamin goes through, without her personal quirk, the audience was not motivated at all.

Evil woman arrives and changes everything. A more grim like episode that one wouldn't expert to have this early into the season. I've always liked Kaede so having an episode about her is awesome, seeing both the serious Kaede and also seeing her joke about drinks and pubs a needed relief during the episode.

As Mio said, things like this are good once in a while. An insanely relaxed episode with a bit of simple yet good comedy mixed in. I love that the episode really shows that 346 pro has someone for anything you need. An idol who knows about spirits? yeah we have that, an idol who is a miko? yeah that too.

PERFECTTTTTT, GAH DAMNNNN, I LIKE EVERY SINGLE FRAME OF THIS EPISODE. They executed it perfectly... all of it. Music, lore, references, animation, NAILED. First of all, they kept throwing all these Cinderella story motifs at us, slowly hammering the idea into our heads until we felt like we were standing on that stage with them. Then they just slammed us with all the references, including the one where Producer literally carries the actual glass slipper. BRUHHH, THAT'S SO SYMBOLIC. Even though it’s absolutely iconic, this one still goes 3rd place behind μ’s and Hoshimi Pro for me. S2 was so damn good.

That damn old hag wanted a “Hime-sama,” but fuck your Hime-sama. The Mighty, The Zero, the most glamorous Cinderella is about to overtake that throne with ease. Here, in this episode, the very first member of the Cinderella Project is shining as brightly as she’s supposed to. The best of the best. She had been forced to stop smiling for a while, but now she’s finally back, smiling with her truest feelings.

HELP MY UZUKI OUT BRO.... SHE NEEDS SOME HELP 😭😭 Bruh, I'd blame this shit on Mio. She literally didn't need to leave New Generations in the first place. She only did it because Rin left for her own reasons. NOW UZUKI IS HAVING A SERIOUS MENTAL BREAKDOWN. This probably wouldn't have happened if Mio had just stayed with New Generations. But seriously, they succed to make this episode felt so sad, bruh just imagine the one who kept smiling everytime until now is crying. AND THE VA'S SKILL MADE IT WAY WORSE BECAUSE IT'S SO DAMN SAD.

DAYUM, A FULL CONCERT EPISODE! I've been praying for a moment like this... It's always beautiful seeing a full concert episode. Even with all the problems going on, it really shows how chaotic the backstage can actually be. It's not as simple as it looks, I tell you.

Ah, it's still a continuation from the previous episode. Hmm, yeah, Mio, you ain't no great leader. Rin is a much better fit for that role, tbh. That aside, I respect the Producer so much lmao. Bro had the fastest read on the situation. And in the end, they at least managed to find a solution to it.

The finale is exactly as bright and sentimental as it needs to be, giving each unit a chance to shine without dragging things out. It does not reinvent idol anime, but the payoff works because the season earned its happy energy through all that conflict. A wholesome ending and a deserved W for the Cinderella Project!

The show slows down again, but this time it feels like the right kind of breather before the finale. Uzuki's doubts are handled with warmth instead of instantly fixing everything, which makes the small steps forward matter. This is the kind of sincere idol-anime stuff that can sneak up on you, lol

This is a more grounded character episode, and it gives Uzuki's insecurities the patience they need. The emotional scenes hurt because the series has spent so much time showing how hard she tries to keep everyone smiling. No flashy idol magic here, just a rough but effective emotional W

The festival brings a lot of moving pieces together, and the episode mostly sticks the landing. Seeing the idols rally around each other turns what could have been a standard performance episode into something more uplifting. The ending also drops a worrying note that keeps the momentum going

The group dynamic gets messier here, but in a believable way that gives the idol drama actual weight. Everyone is trying to support one another while quietly struggling with their own direction, which makes the tension hit harder. The show is cooking with this arc, no question

This episode does a good job making career opportunities feel exciting and scary at the same time. The different choices give the cast room to grow, even if the show is clearly setting up bigger emotional problems later. Mio suddenly chasing a solo route is a bold move, hahaha

The rock versus idol identity conflict is handled better than expected, mostly because nobody is treated like the bad guy. Riina and Miku's friendship has enough heart behind it to make the uncertainty feel real instead of forced drama. That one-off stage moment is pure good-vibes anime, lol

The episode leans hard into shy-girl encouragement, but Kanako and Chieri are charming enough to make it work. It is not the most dramatic installment, yet the focus on small improvements and smiling through nerves feels genuine. Kirari and Anzu remain a fun combo, haha

Okay, hol on, there are SO many things to explain rn, starting with the Krone Project. Yeah, to put it simply, it's basically the same as the Neo Egoist League. The problem is probably that they gotta think about Cinderella Project's upcoming concert, but... listen, it was the idols' own choices. BUT MIO, BRUH. MIO IS SO CORNY WTF. No, like, watch it gng. The reason she did all that in the end was because she got triggered by Rin. Damn bruh, think about Uzuki too. Guess my opinion from the 1st season ain't changing, Mio is still so damn childish even now.

This one gives Mika more depth than her usual confident gyaru image, and the softer scenes work nicely. The conflict is simple, but it understands how uncomfortable it feels to be pushed into a version of yourself that does not fit. Miria also gets sweet moments, so overall this is a W

Miku and Nana make a surprisingly good focus pair here, especially with the episode asking what makes an idol identity meaningful. The comedy never fully disappears, but there is real care behind its message about choosing what brings people joy. The bunny energy is low-key carrying haha
