saikyolvien★★★★★AnimeThey be bringing back the memories, gng... damn, watching ’em just now. Oh ye, btw this movie is not friendly to those who haven't followed the main story, so go on and watch it first. Sigh... I truly feel like this movie is beautiful in every aspect. Like, they even pay attention to the smallest details. Well, uh, no wonder, cause we're talking about Im@s here. Every idol movie I've watched usually follows the same formula with different executions. This one? Mhm, it's pretty much the same. I wouldn't say it's unique or particularly different from the usual formula. But oh well, for the fans, it at least gives 765PRO a pretty damn good ending. Ah, I don't even have anything to complain about for now. Every song in this movie was beautiful. Maybe it wasn't the most unique idol movie out there, but damn... it knew exactly what the fans wanted. And honestly, that's enough for me.
turtlerunstudios★★★★★AnimeThe art direction, music, and the voice acting made the movie look and feel pretty. The animation alone could have a paragraph dedicated to it. The Rotoscoping and even the extra frames they added in for comedic effect was perfect! The driving force of the movie is a bit weak though, the very tension the movie was building up to was a complete farce. If they wanted conflict make one of the girls an antagonist they didn't commit to it, or better yet a rival idol group from a different company. Why, a rivalry from the same studio would be better thematically, an outside idol group would need a series to flesh each character out. Beautiful movie would recommend to others if they are into Jpop, and girl groups.
jadeandthegods★★★★☆AnimeThe girls are now more successful and busier than ever, and they start preparing for their biggest concert yet. The movie takes its time with character moments, training camp sequences, and the everyday pressure of being top idols. The live performances are the clear highlight, especially near the end too. It’s mainly for fans of the series. If you already knew about these characters, you’ll enjoy seeing them grow and perform on a bigger stage. If you’re new, it can feel a bit long and slow in the middle, but the final concert sequence is worth it. I loved it absolutely.
denzi★★★★★AnimeThe im@s movie is what one would call "life changing medias". It is so well written that it could've perfectly been its own anime arc. Starting the movie with a trailer for an in-universe movie is a genius move that only works for idol anime. Fate of the World is pretty much a timeless classic when it comes to 765 pro and the visuals make the song even better. A stage with back dancers is not something usually seen in idol anime, since most if not all focus in just the main group, so its something more outside the formula that worked out really well in both concept and execution. M@STERPIECE is my favorite 765 pro song and listening to the leitmotiv and different arrangements during the movie which led up to the final version is truly an experience.
