I don’t usually talk about the craftsmanship, but I can’t help but appreciate the fish-eye lens angle. The way it captured the moment was much better than I expected. To nitpick a little, though, it felt a bit off that Suzume didn’t need to change her clothes after getting drenched in the rain.

Capitulo con personajes nuevos, cotidianeidad y comida mas simple.

a quintessential slice-of-life installment where the overarching narrative momentum is entirely paused. while it functions well as a relaxing meal companion, it is ultimately a skippable episode where you wouldn't miss any vital plot progression.

this is the absolute perfect comforting anime to watch while you do something else it's just pure, cozy slice of life. watching this made me crave a good bowl of instant ramen so badly that i am honestly about to ruin my entire diet

screw this diet bro this show makes even instant ramen look way too incredibly good to resist. literally nothing huge even happens in this episode but it is the ultimate show to throw on while you are eating. i am making noodles for lunch

I felt like I've been bamboozled by this episode. The story and the first featured food was quite disappointing, the Kakigōri looks odd and no swimsuit Suzume 🫠. I thought it was "the food dairy of miss maid" why was Suzume not shown eating the second featured food? and why in the world was plain hot water featured?!. The only saving grace of this episode was the instant noodles. That was a wasted end of summer episode, they should have featured foods like Mizu Yōkan, Suika or perhaps Iced Coffee.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 7 of 12, this episode lands at the midpoint of the season, carrying forward the summer atmosphere established in the previous festival food-focused entry. It continues the series' loose, episodic rhythm without advancing any overarching plot, instead deepening the Suzume and Ricotta dynamic through shared, spontaneous experiences. It sets the table for the back half of the season, which is expected to keep building on Suzume's culinary curiosity as the series moves toward its conclusion.
