This episode felt a bit slower than the last one but the exhibition concept was cool enough and the supernatural stuff at the end saved the art gallery setting

Watching the entire exhibition hall descend into total chaos was pretty intense and the lighting during the darker segments made the horror parts feel much more grounded

Maya ruins everything just by existing in a room and I thought the jealous women sabotaging each other looked incredible with the way their faces were drawn during the gallery sequence

Men in the gallery just completely losing their minds for Maya was brutal and seeing the horror elements kick in during the finale made it way better than the previous world

I think this version of Maya might be the scariest one yet because she just stood there and let the crowd go crazy and the supernatural art during the exhibition scene was actually really disturbing

The part where the art starts coming to life and attacking people was so bizarre and it was a perfect way to show how Maya really destroys a world before moving on

Tomoka deserved better but you could see her spiraling from the start and Maya is just a force of nature that ruins everything she touches

That 90s art style really makes the body horror look gross and the way Maya manipulated the curator was so cold

I found the final sequence in the art gallery to be the most intense part of the whole series. Seeing Tomoka get consumed by her own envy, while Maya just stood there smiling, was genuinely chilling. The way the animation shifts when the supernatural horror kicks in really caught me off guard and made Tomoka getting trapped in the canvas feel so much more final than the other stories

The horror elements in this one felt way more disturbing than the previous stories and that melting face shot in the gallery was actually terrifying

It was hard watching Tomoka just completely fall apart, especially when she realized Maya was just using her as another tool for destruction

Watching the men lose their minds over Maya in the art show was brutal and the supernatural stuff at the end looked great for an old ova

I think that painting scene with Tomoka was so unsettling and Maya looked terrifying when the colors started bleeding out from the canvas

You can see Tomoka is doomed the second she starts getting jealous of Maya and that ending in the gallery felt so dark

My skin was crawling during that final exhibition scene and Maya really is just a monster wearing a pretty face to destroy everything

You can tell Nene is desperate with that whole steal him back attitude at the end of the episode and it makes her look really bad compared to Yukana

My skin crawled when Junichi told Nene she was past her prime because that was such a nasty thing to say to a friend

Hearing the line about the men in uniforms coming for the fat friend was the only good part of his scenes because he is being way too creepy lately

Nene was being so annoying trying to take Junichi while Yukana was right there and she really needs to back off and leave them alone

I couldn't stop laughing when Junichi was thinking about how world peace would happen if people just focused on boobs and then that endcard with the two gyarus was a great bonus

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 5 closes out a five-part anthology that has moved Maya through radically different social settings — from intimate encounters to aristocratic intrigue in Episode 4's 'The Bewitching Countess.' This finale positions itself around clandestine gathering and exhibition, drawing the series to a close without a traditional narrative resolution. As the last episode, there is nothing beyond this to set up — it is the final expression of the show's central thesis on desire, destruction, and Maya's consuming power.
