Episode Context

Coming off 'Fog,' where Jun confronted the terrifying possibility of losing her humanity through repeated transformations, 'Enemy' introduces Dr. Jason Bates and the concept of the 'giga effect,' expanding the mythology and challenging established assumptions about devil beasts. Positioned roughly a third into the 26-episode run, this is a table-setting episode that broadens the narrative scope beyond Jun's personal struggle. It directly feeds into 'Eyes,' where paranoia and a disturbing murder pattern escalate the series' horror elements further.
