I can really feel that the plot is finally progressing in this episode. It does a great job of giving us a glimpse into Hina's past and provides a lot of important information. Although the shift feels a bit sudden and I think it still lacks some necessary buildup, it's a welcome change from the more filler-like episodes before it.

Pacing-nya terasa seperti rollercoaster

Episode Context

Episode 8 marks a decisive tonal shift for Kamisama ni Natta Hi. Youta's resolve to dig into Hina's origins drives the pair to a distant seaside location, and the result is one of the more contemplative entries in the series so far. The beach setting isn't played for fan service or comedy, it's a backdrop for introspection, quiet conversations, and moments that deepen the connection between Youta and Hina in meaningful ways. P.A. Works leans into atmospheric visuals here, letting the scenery carry emotional weight. There's still the occasional touch of the show's characteristic light humor, but the balance tips firmly toward drama. Expect a slower, more deliberate pace that rewards patience. This is the episode where the series signals it's done playing around and is heading somewhere heavier.
