I can really feel that the plot is finally progressing in this episode. It does a great job of giving us a glimpse into Hina's past and provides a lot of important information. Although the shift feels a bit sudden and I think it still lacks some necessary buildup, it's a welcome change from the more filler-like episodes before it.
