The Case Book of Arne
📖 SYNOPSIS
A nobleman's daughter with a dangerous obsession with vampires, Lynn Reinweiß has a pretty risky hobby — especially when you stumble into Lügenberg, a hidden city where non-humans actually live. One desperate night she ends up there and meets Arne Neuntöte, a vampire detective that everyone in the city calls "the worst," and not because he's bad at his job. He's got supernatural powers, a reputation that precedes him, and a knack for attracting the kind of cases that involve blood and things that shouldn't exist. Lynn gets pulled into his world of grotesque mysteries, and together with Ruise, an anime-original character joining their little investigative trio, they start unraveling cases that blend the gothic and the gruesome in ways that keep you guessing. The whole thing is dripping in atmosphere — SILVER LINK. went hard on the dark, ornate art direction, and the soundtrack has this haunting quality that just sits with you after each episode. It's a 12-episode TV series based on a game, airing in 2026, and the fantasy-detective combo actually works here because the mysteries feel genuinely layered rather than just window dressing for cool vampire moments. If you liked The Case Study of Vanitas for its gothic vampire drama or Vampire Knight for the dark romantic tension, this scratches a similar itch but leans harder into the detective side. Fans of Hellsing's darker supernatural tone will find something to appreciate too, just with more puzzle-solving and less artillery.
