VerifiedMid-season and it still feels fresh, which is honestly impressive. I really love how consistent the quality has been so far. Maomao’s personality continues to be the highlight for me. She’s just so fun to watch, even when she’s doing something simple. This kind of consistency is rare. Jinshi has to be patient with Maomao's dense feeling.

Maomao gets fired because of palace politics and tbh my girl really can't catch a break. ends up back at the brothel and somehow Jinshi finds his way there too. that man really said no chill. the ending is kinda sweet and kinda suspicious at the same time 😭

Maomao was dismissed from the rear palace. The mutual miscommunication between Jinshi and Maomao about her leaving proves they’re both brilliant but socially chaotic. Seeing her pivot back to a part-time courtesan role highlights her insane adaptability. The cinematography when she bumps into a Jinshi at the banquet was soo good. 10/10 for the "buyout" ending! 😂. Loved their dance.!

Man, seeing Maomao finally solve the riddle was so satisfying! The way she used her big brain to reveal the hidden message... her brain is just on another level. Jinshi looking all soft while watching her work was the best part! man literaly mind blowing
