All the dots have been connected, well some are still a bit confusing. Bro really added the son mother theory at the end just to get us more intrigued, now we’ll never know if that’s the actual parent since she’s left the palace. Anyways, detective MaoMao yet again cracked the code after a few glimpses of texts and high observation of her surroundings. Good episode, I’m satisfied sort off.

The mystery of the poisoning during the garden party comes to a close when Maomao realizes the truths of what happened in the past of the Rear Palace. Confronting the culprit by herself, tension rises as the episodes shows the brilliance of Maomao’s deduction abilities.

Maomao really showcasing the actual science of deduction in this episode. She's really smart. Oh, and I didn’t see that plot twist coming at all!

The conclusion of Fengming's case was well written with music to deliver vibes and the inclusion of Fengming's past gave it an emotional background that encouraged viewer engagement. Must watch episode that continues the dive about Jinshi especially his relationship with Ah-duo.

This episode is really heavy, with so many dark revelations. It’s amazing how the female lead resolved everything through her observation and critical thinking, what impressed me is how she pieced together all the chaotic and missing puzzle piece to conclude what might have happened. The palace is really chaotic, and I’m excited to see how all the secrets will unfold.

So many revelations in this episode! Maomao's ideas about what's going on are entirely possible and kind of mind-blowing, and it helps explain what is potentially going on bit more. I love seeing even more of Jinshi's traits; he's a very complicated and interesting character

Things start to feel more intriguing again, with hints of bigger problems. Maomao remains sharp and observant, while Jinshi’s role feels more important. It keeps you curious about what’s coming next.

This episode balances light and serious moments really well. It never feels too heavy, but it also doesn’t feel empty. I really enjoy how the tone shifts naturally depending on the situation. Maomao continues to carry scenes effortlessly. And the interactions? Still top-tier.

Case solved. A very big case that even Maomao's father is involved. I was touched at how our FL would check first the motive behind the action before delivering the final verdict. This gives a detailed view of the motives. And I was shocked with the baby swap.

It's sad to know what happened to Fengming. Though she was cold initially for Lady Lishu, she was actually loyal and caring about Lady Ah-Duo. I like the conversation between Maomao and Lady Fengming. That confrontation scene was pure chills. Maomao dropping medical facts like a boss! 🐝.It’s a sad episode but analytically brilliant in how it explains botanical toxins.

The tension was breaking through the roof! Seeing Maomao realize fire was not just an accident but killing attempt. Her sprint to save the official while everyone else just stood there... absolute queen behavior. Jinshi looked genuinely terrified for her!

Episode 11 shattered me. Ah-Duo's heart is the purest proof of motherhood-though she lost her own child, she poured boundless love into Lishu, bloodless yet beloved. In a palace of cruelty, she chose tenderness. And that final hint of a swap? A haunting cliffhanger.

Like Episode 4, Episode 11 shows the fine line between loyalty and harm. While Episode 4 focused on correcting dangerous habits, Episode 11 digs deeper into hidden guilt and past mistakes. Maomao's careful insight reveals how even good intentions can carry heavy consequences.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following Episode 10's revelations involving honey and its dangerous implications, this eleventh episode deepens the emotional consequences of those discoveries, turning the lens on palace figures whose histories are more tangled and tragic than previously understood. Sitting at the season's midpoint, it functions as a critical bridge that transforms earlier mysteries into deeply personal stakes. It directly sets the stage for Episode 12, 'The Eunuch and the Courtesan,' by laying essential thematic groundwork around sacrifice and identity within the rear palace.
