Tbh, I still can’t connect the dots properly, I know what’s happening in front of me, but to understand the entirety of it is confusing. Like, how is the old man related to all this? Major plot twist, not much impact tho. Don’t know what’s going on, but I’m still enjoying the ride, so keep em coming.

All the conspiracies circle back to the one incident during the garden party and the muti-colored flames. With all signs pointing towards the Garnet Pavilion and Concubine Ah-Duo. But how can both the incidents be connected to each other, and what can Maomao possibly uncover?

I swear Jinshi is getting more annoying for each episode 🙄, in a fun way tho. Meanwhile, the mystery is getting more and more interesting!

A world building episode full of lore and foreshadowing details. I like the bits of comedy here there to prevent boredom because of all the detective work and lore which was given througout the episode. Not much happened but is still an important episode for the upcoming ones.

I always laugh at the male lead playfully teasing the female lead. The pacing of the story is just right, not too slow, not too fast, unfolding the mystery little by little each episode. And the good thing is, their trust in the female lead develops gradually, one person at a time.

The mystery is becoming more intriguing with each episode. More and more characters are getting involved, and I genuinely have no idea where it's going which excites me. While this episode is a bit slow, it's still fun to see Maomao's thought process with each new revelation.

There’s more trust forming between the characters, especially Maomao and Jinshi. Their interactions feel more natural now. It’s a quieter episode, but it adds a lot to their connection.

The pacing continues to impress me. It’s steady, never rushed, and never dragging. I love how everything feels like it’s slowly building toward something. Maomao remains consistent, which makes her so reliable as a main character. You always know she’ll approach things in her own unique way. And honestly, that never gets boring.

The way things are starting to get clearer due to Maomao's analytical thinking is amazing. Maomao might as well be an inspector/spy too. Haha
Our FL is way too talented. Master Jinshi's playfulness towards our FL is getting more touchy and clingy. Haha

Quite a twist! Finding out it was because of Lady Ah Duo's head lady in waiting was the cause of the death of her son is truly mindblowing. And Maomao's speculation of the switched babies at birth (we are all thinking it!)

The payoff for the honey mystery was intense! Maomao confronting the Garnet Pavilion staff with cold, hard facts was a total power move. The way Jinshi offerimg honey was quite uncomfortable and laughing😂. Poor Maomao.. Hope Lady Lishu gets comforting and understanding attendants.

Maomao solving the mystery was such a big brain or 1000iq moment. Seeing her casually explaining how a baby was being poisoned while everyone else was panicked... she’s literally the most intelligent person in whole castle by now.

Maomao is connecting dots nobody else even noticed in the garden party incident. Lady Lishu and Ah-Duo both get more depth here and the palace politics are getting layered fr. the ending revelation about Maomao's dad, explains a lot bout her

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the season's midpoint, Episode 10 builds directly on the unsettling servant death from Episode 9, deepening the palace intrigue rather than resolving it. It functions as a connective episode, expanding the political landscape around the concubines and laying critical groundwork for Episode 11, 'Reducing Two to One,' which promises to sharpen the stakes considerably. This is the season tightening its threads before pulling them taut.
