QUICK TAKES

my spider sense is tingling, With the history shown here, i feel like the next one would be a banger episode. Still this episode has a lot of the lore that i find fun to watch. Especially im so invested into Milim's past

The animation is very nicely done! Amrita and its design is also cool with all its ancient magic. Also, the end gets more exciting. I can't wait for the next one.

Rimuru is being Rimuru as always here haha! I love how we get a glimpse of Milim's rare emotions in this episode. It makes her character deeper than just an insanely powerful, walking gag

The exploration of the ruins is very thought-provoking. But what's more interesting is Kagali's reactions, especially in that last scene

In the manga, this episode covers ch 127, although there are some few panels in ch 128. It's nice to show more of the ancient city of Amrita with an added small backstory of how it was established, the manga doesn't show more of it. It even showed where Amrita was based from and it was indeed even more beautiful. The art and animation was top notch in this episode, if I were to compare it to the manga, I would rather watch this anime because of the small but important details added. The only small thing that bothered me was the golem in this anime, it looked weak in comparison to the manga version 😅
P.S. I really should continue from where I left off in the LN, but because the adaptation is pretty good, I don't really feel motivated to read it.

EPISODE CONTEXT
This episode follows the tension established in 'The Groundwork of Greed,' where Rimuru uncovered signs that Mariabell may have seeded the ruins of Amrita with traps — meaning the team enters this expedition fully aware the odds may be stacked against them. 'Investigating the Ruins' moves that threat from theory to reality, grounding the season's broader conflict in a concrete, high-stakes location. The discoveries and dynamics established here are positioned to fuel the confrontations and alliance shifts that will define the episodes ahead.
