Back to back banger indeed. Great episode, the storytelling, the lore the fights, Top tier. And yeah you can really feel the care of Rimuru for Milim in this episode. Again, a should watch episode.

Milim's backstory is so sad but I am happy that she can be reunited with her friend. The animation in the beginning was very cool, it reminded me of a fairytale. Also Yuuki is so cunning.

Great closure to an arc, but what really made me goosebumps was Rimuru and Raphael's convo at the end :') love our dear AI partner even more now

Love the way they executed the backstory here. It was so rich and made Milim’s character deeper. And it kinda explains why she acts the way she does around Rimuru usually 🥹

Wow I feel like I watched a 24-min movie and it still felt short 😭 the pacing, dialogue and the action are well-balanced. Milim's demeanor here really hits hard

A very emotional episode showing some characters' pasts, their joy and suffering, along with a fight that was anticipated a few episodes ago.
There are also some essential reveals about these characters, and at the end of the episode, we see a relationship that's still growing, even more than I expected throughout the series.

In general there was improvement on the visuals, more details on the light and shadow effects, although it sounds simple, that add weight to the scenes, also the art and style used to tell Milim's story was beautiful, honestly It looked like it was done with watercolors, and just out of a fairytale, it was really pretty, and just the kind of draw made it feel like also ancient story

About the chapter, although the resolution of the main conflict was fast from my pov, it was still fine as it kept the power levels already established on the anime, the story just made me sentimental too, again some issues here and there with the pacing but in general it was a good chapter

Surprise, memories, a story about the past, about loss and grief, but most importantly a story about a friendship. The conflict started by Maribel Rozzo reaches its end in a emotional battle against the corrupted Chaos Dragon. While this first half of the season has been mostly a build up for this moment, the delivery was made in an excellent way and the conclusion was not only emotional but also deeply satisfying.

In the manga, this episode covers ch 130. I like the art style that the studio did in retelling Milim's backstory at the start, it felt like it was in an RPG game (first thing that pop in my mind was The Legend of Mana). However, I prefer the explanation in the manga since it explained everything. I thought I was seeing things since the animation of the dragon was 3D then switched to 2.5D, it felt off and it made me replay the scene a few more times. That's the only thing that felt off but the rest of the animation looks great.

P.S. The final panels in ch 130 wasn't adapted, the studio missed a juicy cliff hanger on that one.

Seeing Yuki reading Cells at Work while being a literal snake is such a choice and someone needs to wipe that smug look off his face because he is way too dangerous

I actually started crying when Milim was hugging that egg and calling it Gaia and the flashback really made that ending feel so earned because she lost everything back then

Watching the Chaos Dragon roar and charge up that dark energy was terrifying but it made the blue light from the drago buster look even more impressive

The red crystals of greed looked so menacing while Rimuru was trying to reach the core and it showed how much Mariabell really messed everything up

The way Raphael was basically judging Rimuru for being too nice to Yuuki made my day and I am glad she is starting to call him out on his soft spots

The art style they used for the story of the First True Dragon was beautiful and it really explained why Milim was so paralyzed

That moment when Milim broke down over the Chaos Dragon was genuinely heart wrenching because I finally understood the weight of her losing Gaia the first time. I was worried they would just kill the beast and move on, but Rimuru finding a way to save the soul and put it in a new egg was the perfect way to end that fight

That storybook flashback of Milim and her dragon made the part where she couldn't attack the beast so much more painful for me to watch

EPISODE CONTEXT

Eleven episodes in, Season 4 has been steadily escalating the friction between Rimuru's vision of human-monster coexistence and the factions determined to resist it. This episode sits in the critical mid-to-late stretch where earlier diplomatic groundwork gets tested under real pressure. What unfolds here is expected to position the final episodes for decisive confrontations, making this a pivotal link in the season's chain.
