VERY GOOOD

Episode Context

A warm and unhurried premiere that leans into nostalgia and the quiet awkwardness of unexpected reunions. Hayato Kirishima's transfer to a new city school sets the stage for a slice-of-life romance built on rediscovery rather than a fresh start. The tone is light and comedic, but there's an underlying sweetness to how the episode frames childhood connections and the way people change, or don't, over time. Fans of low-stakes romantic comedy with a character-first focus will feel at home here. The pacing gives breathing room for Hayato and the poised, enigmatic Nikaido to establish their dynamic, letting the premise's central irony do the heavy lifting without rushing toward drama.
