EPISODE REVIEWS

It is very fair to say that Symphogear never misses a beat when it comes to its action, and this episode is another proof of that. It may be only the second episode on a season of 13, it is action packed with some really good fights and some fantastic moves that shows that our main trio are a lot stronger than where they left on during last season.

the dust settles from the concert attack and the show starts mapping the new conflict properly. the FIS — Fine Instrumentation Section — and their connection to Dr. Ver and Solomon's Cane starts coming into focus and the more you learn about what they're actually trying to do the more complicated the moral picture becomes. Maria, Kirika and Shirabe aren't straightforward villains and the show is smart enough to start showing you that early. Kirika and Shirabe's dynamic is immediately compelling — Kirika's bright chaotic energy against Shirabe's quiet intensity creates a contrast that makes every scene they share interesting. the Nephilim's presence as a growing threat adds urgency to what could otherwise be an expository episode.

The style hair Pinkie has reminds me of Code Geass. Tsubasa's hair style looked like she walked off the set of Yugioh though. The animation was a spectacular sight, I just love courtesy enemies types, they let you use your most powerful technique without any interruption. I'm new to the series but from what can tell the Symphogears gives them the ability to make the immaterial material. I can't wait for them to reveal the mysterious person seen holding the Staff of Solomon! I wonder who it is?
