I'm impressed that Shinpei managed to pull himself together after 2 resets unlike a certain elf simp 😏. Two things have been answered regarding ep1 but overall it still feels like walking on a thick fog. It's great that the loop doesn't look repetitive since it omitted the already seen part

The tension and stakes are ramping up! We get some answers to some mysteries, but also a bunch of unanswered questions with a sense of shadowy déjà vu. There’s huge save-scumming vibes in this story, and it’s a blast to watch it all unfold. I can’t wait to see where this goes!

This episode is good as the pacing is tight and I can really feel the tension as Shinpei tries to change small details. I can really feel the animation during the chase scene, and I like how the "loop" was explained through actions.

What? He looped, again? Watching Shinpei piece everything together in real time while knowing what's coming is so good. The shadow reveal was genuinely unsettling, and that neck stab? He did not deserve that.

ok so you thought ep 1 was just setup? nope haha, this show is crazy, the moment Mio sees what she sees, the whole vibe shifts. like wow, this ep just went in a direction I never saw coming lol. Very nicely done, now I'm officially hooked loll.

Appriciative of an MC POV that doesn't ruminate too long— and honestly, you're just as confused as he is. Shinpei's actions speak louder, and you're unraveling the mystery with him.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following the premiere's introduction of Ushio's mysterious death and the island's strange atmosphere, episode two escalates the supernatural framework that will drive the entire 25-episode run—establishing the central threat of the 'Shadows' early enough to let the series build complexity on top of it. This is foundational setup territory, deepening the rules of the world and the danger facing Shinpei before the plot accelerates in subsequent episodes. At just episode 2 of 25, this is the show locking in its tone and daring you to look away.
