Alpha timeline, the world where no matter what is done Mayuri always end up dying. Without doing anything, the Reading Steiner activates and Okabe is back to the damned timeline. And while that means a world without Mayuri, it also means seeing Kurisu again. But, can Okabe be able to go back to his original timeline when that means making the choice of killing Kurisu all over again?

This episode felt a little unnecessary at first, what would be the point if they immediately went back to normal. But in the end it was pretty obvious that it was necessary to give RIntaro the closure he really needed to move on from Makise.

The more the series brings it up, the more it's apparent that Okabe's Reading Steiner is a curse rather than a gift. I also wonder where this series would have gone if he didn't have such ability, like what would have been the point of time travel then?

The story's getting pretty confusing, there are way more questions than answers for the major plot events unfolding. What did Okarin even do to switch world lines?? It was so hard to do that even when the lab group was trying their very hardest.

This is an absolute perfect episode, as it delivers that one thing everyone has been longing for. It is sad, beautiful, and quite honestly, stunning. The delivery is fantastic, and now I am even more impatient to see what happens next.
