This episode mainly serves as setup for the next battle. I'm really starting to like Domel as a character, and I also rea;llycup exchange scene with the Yamato crew. Even though there's not much action this time, it's still a good episode overall.

The tension on the bridge is completely suffocating as Captain Okita and his crew are pushed past their absolute breaking points. It’s a breathtaking, tragic, and beautifully animated masterclass in classic sci-fi warfare that perfectly captures the true cost of their desperate survival.

The episode focused more on exposition at the start, but halfway through it began building up the hype and tension for the next battle.
