I really liked this episode. It explores more of Kodai's past while giving him meaningful character development. It's also the first time the Yamato crew comes face to face with a Gamilas soldier, even though the audience has known about them for quite a while. Overall, another great episode.

The visual direction during this galactic exit is utterly breathtaking, capturing a profound mix of cosmic grandeur and deep, personal isolation.

This episode had some flashbacks and was pretty sad and brutal. It also gave us some solid character development.
