No battle yet but this was another really intense episode as the Yamato had to navigate through a region filled with space mines. I also believe this is the first appearance of Desler. There isn't much to say about him yet, but he immediately fits the classic charismatic villain archetype and makes a strong first impression. Overall, it's still a good episode.

The pacing here is exceptionally tight, generating a claustrophobic sense of dread as they scramble to locate the source controlling the explosive field.

Pretty good episode. There aren't any battles yet, but it has plenty of suspense, and the high stakes keep things exciting.
