📖 SYNOPSIS

"Sotsusei Kareshi-san Busaku" is an animated documentary trilogy created by a Tokyo University of the Arts student. The project stems from the artist's exploration of the evolving understanding of sexuality, contrasting childhood interests and aversions with current knowledge. Lacking a real-life boyfriend, the artist fabricates one to bridge the gap between imagination and reality. The anime meticulously documents this invented relationship, following its progression from beginning to end. The narrative is constructed from a diary of self-observation and observations of the created boyfriend, supplemented by a continuous accounting of dating expenses. This undergraduate work aims to translate the complexities of personal experience into an animated format.
